queermeet is a service aimed at homosexual, bisexual, and otherwise interested young people from the age of 14.
The services of the website can be used free of charge; however, there is no entitlement to their availability.
The offer includes the areas of the queermeet community (e.g., profiles, messenger) and the content provided by queermeet.
By using these services, every user accepts the following terms of use.
Common sense and adherence to netiquette are the foundation of these rules, which are intended to ensure friendly interaction among queermeet users and a pleasant community experience.
Use of queermeet without acknowledgment of these general terms of use is prohibited, as is using the aforementioned services by circumventing the designated access channels.
Within the services provided by queermeet, no content may be created or published that violates legal provisions and/or is offensive. This includes, for example, content that violates the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, infringes the rights of third parties, or violates general personal rights. Messages and texts with pornographic content or those that violate youth protection laws, as well as racist, defamatory, insulting, violence-glorifying, drug-glorifying, and/or discriminatory content, are prohibited.
Sending messages with false or manipulated sender and address data, as well as forwarding such content, is prohibited.
Sending emails and messages with commercial or promotional content, forwarding or creating chain letters or pyramid scheme mails, as well as distributing messages not intended for private exchange of opinions, is prohibited. Collecting address data from the queermeet user database for such purposes is also prohibited and will be reported by queermeet.
Personal disputes arising from differences of opinion should be settled reasonably and must not interfere with the normal operation of queermeet.
Manipulation, damage (or attempted damage) to the technical systems of queermeet services is prohibited and will be prosecuted by queermeet under criminal law (and, if applicable, civil law) without prior notice.
Technical logs of accesses to queermeet servers or other communication systems are automatically created and permanently stored electronically. In the event of manipulation or another offense, queermeet reserves the right to evaluate these logs/records, make copies, and/or hand them over to the relevant authorities.
Use of certain queermeet services requires registration. A nickname must be chosen, which, for identity protection, should not consist of the user's full real name (first and last name). Nickname choice is generally free; however, if multiple users choose the same name, allocation is made in the order of registration. There is no entitlement to a specific nickname.
It is not permitted to choose a nickname that violates applicable law, particularly the rights of third parties. Nicknames with illegal, racist, pornographic, or otherwise unsuitable content for minors are also prohibited. queermeet reserves the right to reject nicknames that violate common decency and, if necessary, delete such nicknames and their associated profiles, forum posts, and ads retroactively. Furthermore, usernames suggesting elevated permissions, such as "Admin" or similar, are not allowed.
The user assures that the information provided during registration is accurate. In particular, required address data, a valid email address, and the correct date of birth must be fully provided. Changes must be communicated to queermeet immediately and updated in the member area. queermeet reserves the right to reject incomplete registrations or delete nicknames with incomplete personal information.
In return, queermeet assures that personal data will not be made publicly accessible (unless otherwise indicated or explicitly chosen by the user) and that data protection regulations will be observed.
Personal access to the queermeet member area is secured by a self-chosen password. Each user is responsible for choosing and safeguarding this password. queermeet is not liable for misuse of access by third parties.
The queermeet newsletter is sent regularly to users of the queermeet community and other subscribers. By registering with the queermeet community, the user agrees to receive the newsletter. This consent can be revoked at any time. A form to unsubscribe from the mailing list is available on the website.
Each member may terminate their membership at any time without providing reasons by deleting their account under "Settings – Delete Account." All stored data of the member will be completely deleted.
Only one account per user is permitted. If a user creates two or more accounts, access to the site will be permanently denied.
The services provided by queermeet grant access to copyrighted material that was created for queermeet or made available by the authors for use on queermeet. It is permitted to download this content to a private computer and print a copy for private use. All materials provided on queermeet may not be reused for commercial purposes or other uses without written permission from queermeet. Publication on private websites also requires prior written permission from queermeet.
By submitting materials such as photos, texts, or other works under copyright law, the sender confirms that they hold the copyright to this material at the time of submission and grants queermeet a right of use and exploitation. This right of use can be revoked in writing (by post or fax) with significant reasons, subject to 14 days' notice at the end of the month. This does not apply if another written agreement with queermeet has been made.
Due to the sensitivity and vulnerability of technical systems, queermeet cannot guarantee permanent availability of the service and is not liable for personal, financial, or other disadvantages or damages resulting from outages and/or data loss.
queermeet exercises virtual house rights: We reserve the right to remove content from queermeet at any time and without prior user consent. This applies especially to offensive or hostile content and/or content that impedes communication among queermeet members but is not a prerequisite for removal.
queermeet reserves the right to block certain functions, remove users from the community, or prevent re-registration through IP, email, or nickname bans after one or multiple violations of the above rules. This requires no consent from the user or third parties. Re-registration is prohibited.
Age restriction: The entire queermeet service has an age limit of 29 years. Membership in the queermeet community ends automatically upon reaching the age of 29. The account will be deleted within 14 days at the latest. The age restriction serves to protect the target group of the queermeet community and the queermeet.de magazine. Re-registration of users exceeding this age limit is blocked by queermeet.
The operators and their employees assume no liability for damages, disadvantages, etc. resulting from the use of the website, whether directly or indirectly related to queermeet, or from use of the queermeet community in any form.
The operators and their employees are in no way liable for users registered on queermeet or for individuals who have gained unauthorized access to queermeet's information and communication systems.
The operators strive to comply with German data protection regulations and employ qualified IT system technicians to maintain security according to current technical standards. However, the operators and their employees do not guarantee the security of these systems.
If material submitted by users (images, texts, etc.) infringes third-party copyright, queermeet cannot be held liable for any damage or disadvantage suffered by the copyright holder but will assist in clarifying the case in the event of legal prosecution.
Due to the sensitivity and complexity of our IT system, we cannot guarantee the completeness of technical logs.
Should any part of these terms of use be or become invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid part shall be replaced with a regulation that comes closest in content to the invalid provision.
